If you have recently returned from travel where your luggage was handled by someone other than yourself, we urge you to reach out to the carrier as soon as possible to get reimbursement for the damaged product as our warranty does not cover damage due to baggage handling.
The U.S. Department of Transportation requires all airlines to compensate passengers if their luggage is damaged while under the airline’s control which includes not only the contents of the luggage but also the luggage’s wheels, handles, straps, and fabric/box. To begin the warranty claim process, please attach the following items to your reply:
- Photos of the damage;
- Photos of the full front and full back of the item;
- Photo of the interior seam label and the SWISSGEAR seam label. The interior seam label is usually black in color. The SWISSGEAR label is normally located in organizer pocket of backpacks and in luggage, it is usually found on the interior, zippered mesh pocket. Please provide photos from both sides of the seam labels.
- Your contact information: Full name, mailing address, email address, and phone number.
Your claim can not move forward if all of the above information is not submitted.
Once we have received the above information from you we will assess the claim and reach out to you with the options available for your damaged item within 3 full business days.
